About the project:
Synopsis: After an assault, Elena comes head on with her grief as the subject comes
up at her engagement dinner party. Things become more complicated when Oranges
start appearing everywhere and only the women can see them. Facing disbelief from
the men on the existence of the Oranges and of the assault, the women must come
together and take a stand for the truth.

Rates:
Please Note Changes to ACTRA NL AIP Agreement.
Principals (8 hour minimum call) $175.
Actors (8 hour minimum call) $150.
BG will remain the same at minimum wage for a 4 hour minimum call.
These rates are the minimum that ACTRA will accept the production paying. As per A508 of the Independent Production Agreement all performers have the right to negotiate above minimums. The Producer shall not restrict the right of the Performer to negotiate terms (including rates or fees) and conditions in excess of the minimum provisions of this Agreement.

Shooting Location: St. John’s, NL.
Shoot Dates: April 22 & 23.

Self-Tape Deadline: April 13th.
As part of the AIP agreement a performer may donate one 8 hour day of rehearsal at the request of production. This is the performer’s choice.

Naturally non-confrontational, she is pushed to find her voice when the validity of her experience is questioned —at her own engagement dinner. With the unwavering support of her best friends Alexia and Stephanie, she is able to take a stand for the truth.

Male presenting. Thrives on camaraderie and sees Evan as a brother- someone whose opinions he trusts without question. His loyalty is misplaced and when tensions rise at the engagement dinner, Josh sides with Evan, unwilling to believe Elena in the moment it matters most.

Male presenting. Josh’s best friend and an acquaintance of Elena’s. He is outspoken, confident and always ready to discuss topics he believes he understands. When Elena bravely shares her experience, Evan is quick to cast doubt, engaging in victim-blaming rhetoric that escalates tension at the dinner party.
