Casting an actress for “A Little Waste” film. More details are below.

About the project:
A LITTLE WASTE is an experimental drama short set in Ballardian dystopia, where content and gentle toymaker Bulgur (67) deconstructs dated social technology to build a rocking horse for her granddaughter. SYNOPSIS: In an overpopulated, dystopian world where space is luxury, Bulgur, a seasoned toymaker, thrives in her claustrophobic studio filled with salvaged e-waste. With meticulous care, she deconstructs each device, breathing new life into their remnants. Amidst her solitary craft, a surprise call from her granddaughter interrupts her routine, and draws her into the warmth of familial connection. As she moves from her workshop to her cozy living room, the juxtaposition of her creative solitude and the joy of human interaction highlights Bulgur’s delicate balance between her love for craftsmanship and the longing for companionship in a world defined by scarcity and isolation.

Gentle, endearing and meticulous. Bulgur is one of the last few toymakers in a seemingly joyless, claustrophobic world. Bulgur retains her sense of belonging by staying faithful to her craft despite a world which exponentially outpaces each succeeding generation. Her toys may lack the sleek sophistication of their digital counterparts, but they possess a soulfulness and authenticity that can't be replicated by algorithms or assembly lines.
