About the project:
A new musical adaptation of the classic novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films.
“When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. Freaky Friday, a new musical based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic. By spending a day in each other’s shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another’s struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter.”

Auditions: **directors may go later than the time slots listed, but please arrive near the start times so they can make the most of the time.
REQUIREMENTS:
• It is highly recommended that all auditioning prepare a song (especially those auditioning for a lead). The song does not have to be from the show but should showcase your vocal abilities.
• You will also do some vocal exercises with the music directors to test range, intonation, etc…
• Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes you can move/dance in and some water to keep you hydrated – you will be learning a portion of choreography.
• Be prepared to do multiple readings with others auditioning as well.
• Bring a positive attitude and an open mind!
Callbacks will be scheduled as needed.
