About the project:
“BLOWHOLE”
SYNOPSIS: A nautical, radical, silly and scintillating turn-of-the-century adaptation of Aristophanes’ Lysistrata, set in a struggling whaling village during the doldrums period of the American suffrage movement.
“RECONCILIATION”
SYNOPSIS: “Is there a God?” This play follows a young man struggling with his faith in a world full of death, love, mistakes, compassion, abuse and loyalty.
“DROWNED CATS”
SYNOPSIS: A dramatization of one very specific and very real impact of climate change on a regular family, living their regular lives.
“SWIMMING UP THE SUN”
SYNOPSIS: An honest, dramatic journey into the heart of a woman’s experience with relinquishment and adoption, and the rollercoaster ride of family reunion. Adapted from the author’s memoir of the same name.

The Festival runs between April 25 – 28, 2024
Please prepare a contemporary and classical monologue, both no more than two minutes long. Also, please bring your headshot and resume stapled together.
