About the project:
Logline: On the eve of his college graduation, Cory and his friends set aside their festivities to pick up his estranged dad.
Synopsis: It’s the night before graduation, and CORY has plans to celebrate with his friends JASON, MIKE, and DUSTIN. That is, until he receives a call from his estranged father LIN, who has just gotten out of his halfway house and needs a ride out. Too tipsy to drive, Cory enlists his friends in picking up Lin. They attempt their journey back but come across a few bumps in the road. all the while, Cory and Lin try to work through their tension, resentment, and guilt about their less-than-perfect relationship. Plans change, and the group embraces it — turning an unpredictable night into a memorable one, filled with Korean BBQ, karaoke, and go kart racing. The night comes to an end, and Cory and Lin go their separate ways with the knowledge that they’ll always be together.
