About the project:
Get ready to laugh, dance and sing your heart out with 9 to 5 The Musical! This hilarious show, based on the iconic 1980 movie, takes you back to the late 1970s and introduces you to three female coworkers who are fed up with their sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot of a boss. But they’re not going to take it lying down!
Violet, Judy and Doralee cook up a plan to get even and give their boss the boot. And when he’s otherwise engaged, they take control of the company and transform their workplace into a dreamy paradise.
Y’all better grab your cowboy hats and boots because Dolly Parton has done it again. This is not your typical musical – it’s a hilarious and heartwarming journey through the wacky world of office life. You’ll be tapping your toes and singing along to every catchy tune before you know it! And let’s not forget about Dolly’s legendary humor and storytelling – you’ll be laughing out loud throughout the entire show. So what are y’all waiting for? It’s time to clock in, grab a seat, and work it like a true country queen!

REHERSALS: Begin June 9th. Rehearsals are Sunday to Thursday 7-10, except Sundays 6-9.
PERFORMANCES: July 26 – Aug 18. Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm
BRING TO THE AUDITION: Resume / Recent Headshot, Calendar and list of potential conflicts. Prepare (and bring music) 16 bars of an up-tempo musical theater song or a song from the 80s. Accompanist is provided.
