Seeking talent for a a comedy class. Company states: “Comedy Class has been teaching stand-up comedy for over fifteen years. We originally started as “Caroline’s Comedy School” but have since evolved into an independent comedy school teaching stand-up comedy classes in New York City. Currently, our classes meet on Manhattan’s Upper West Side near The Lincoln Center and our class shows are in the East Village at St Mark’s Comedy Club. About the instructor: Ben Rosenfeld is a stand-up comedian, writer and comedy instructor who has appeared on FOX’s Laughs, The Nick Cannon Show, BuzzFeed Video, Travel Channel’s Mysteries At The Museum, CBS This Morning, Nat Geo’s Brain Games, Netflix’s Brainchild, NPR’s Weekend Edition, SiriusXM Radio, The New York Post and been featured as TimeOut New York’s Joke of the Week. Ben has been teaching stand-up comedy since 2020. Ben has also spent over a decade doing private comedy coaching for beginners, working comedians and corporate executives looking to punch up their keynote speeches. Ben twice headlined at Caroline’s on Broadway, hosted at the Lincoln Center and performs nearly nightly in New York City. Ben has two comedy specials on Amazon Prime, five comedy albums and two illustrated humor books. Before becoming a comedian, Ben spent three years as a management consultant and corporate trainer for Accenture, a Fortune 500 company, working in change management by developing and delivering training materials. Ben was also a teaching assistant at the John Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth. In addition to being funny, Ben has taught thousands of people in many other disciplines and understands how to apply adult learning theories.”

Student in stand-up comedy class. This is a class. The student must pay to be in it. Company states: "Have you ever had friends and family tell you, 'You’re hilarious! You should be a comedian!' – but you don’t know how to start? Are you tired of "waiting to be selected" and want to write and create your own projects but don't know how?Do you want to improve your acting and writing skills while laughing?Do you just wanna do something fun and creative after spending all day in a drab cubicle or soul-sucking food service job?Take our stand-up comedy class!We offer a fun, positive and supportive stand-up comedy class for beginners to explore their sense of humor while growing confidence and improving public speaking skills.Our classes cost $395. This is for six class sessions that each runs two-and-a-half-hours, plus a graduation show at St Marks Comedy Club in Manhattan, and a free video of your performance!Our beginner class focuses on the basics of stand-up comedy writing and performing. We do not accept more than 12 students into each class, so be sure to register early!Over the course of six weeks, students will learn stage presence, delivery basics, joke types, and insight into the comedy business.Classes meet near Lincoln Center in Manhattan. After six sessions, there will be a comedy class graduation show.We have class sessions scheduled to start Tuesday March 5, Wednesday May 1, Sunday May 12, Tuesday July 9 and Sunday July 14.
