Description

Seeking experienced, professional actors of color and directors to work on our “Act Me a Story” project.

Production states: “PlayZoomers, Inc. is a live, online nonprofit theatre company, active since 2020 (100+ plays to date). With a partner nonprofit, we have developed a special program called ‘Act Me a Story,’ focusing on literacy for under-resourced preschoolers, most of whom are children of color. Our directors work with actors of color to make videos of vetted storybooks (often featuring people of color) that can be used by preschool teachers and parents to spark and encourage a love for books and reading by young children.

Do not apply if you are a beginning actor or director.
