About the project:
“Andrew Lloyd Webber’s award-winning smash hit musical premiered on Broadway in 2015, and has since been seen on stages around the globe. Based on the hilarious hit movie, this new musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band – performed live by the production’s talented young musicians every night!”

Rate:
Unpaid.

Additional info:
All roles require performers to sing, act and dance in addition to playing instruments.
PREPARE:
16 bars of a song in style of the show.
Please bring sheet music accompaniment in the correct key. A pianist will be provided. Acapella or pre-recorded music will not be allowed.
Be prepared to dance. Please wear comfortable clothing. Dance shoes are recommended, but not required.

Conflicts between April 1 through July 21, 2024.
Callbacks by invitation only.
REHEARSALS:
Rehearsals will begin in April. There will be one to two rehearsals per week on weekday evenings and one rehearsal on the weekend. Not everyone will be called to every rehearsal.
Performance dates:
Friday, July 12, Saturday, 13, & 20 at 8pm
Sunday, July 14, Saturday, 20, Sunday, 21 at 2pm

He impersonates a teacher to land a job at the prestigious Horace Green prep school, where he turns his class of straight-A students into a rock group and enters them in the Battle of the Bands.
