About the project:
As You Like It is a tale of love, identity, and freedom. It follows Rosalind as she flees persecution in her uncles court, accompanied by her cousin Celia and the court jester, Touchstone, to the Forest of Arden. In the forest, they encounter various characters, including the lovelorn Orlando. Rosalind, disguised as a young man named Ganymede, tests Orlandos love for her. Through a series of comedic and romantic twists, the play explores the liberating nature of life away from societys constraints and the joy of love in its many forms.
Rate:
All performers are guaranteed a $100 honorarium to cover the costs of transportation for rehearsals plus a $15 honorarium per performance. Note that this is strictly a non-union production.
Additional info:
Rehearsals will begin on April 28. The rehearsal schedule will be provided at the first rehearsal based on performer availability. Most likely, rehearsals will be 3 evenings a week until the last two weeks of rehearsal.
The production runs June 13-June 29, 2025, with performances Thursday Saturday at 8 pm and Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm. No conflicts with performance dates will be permitted.

Duke Frederick is the younger brother of Duke Senior. Duke Frederick usurps his older brothers rightful position as duke, sending Duke Senior into exile. Paranoid that Duke Seniors daughter, Rosalind, is a threat because the people like her, he banishes her too, losing his daughter at the same time. Banished by his paranoid brother, Duke Frederick, Senior now lives in the Forest of Arden where he embraces nature as his new teacher.
