About the project:
Logline: A talented but overlooked Black film student is invited to join an elite campus film crew-only to uncover a dark legacy of stolen work, buried voices, and sinister traditions.
Synopsis: Jalen Carter, a gifted filmmaker from Chicago, is finally noticed by the prestigious (and mostly white) Golden Reel film crew. But their secretive “initiation” quickly turns into a twisted game. exposing a legacy of exploitation and silenced Black artists. As Jalen unearths the truth, he must choose between exposing the system or becoming its next victim.
