A hardworking contractor and devoted husband who feels emasculated by financial hardship and moral compromise. Kale is deeply in love with Johanna but struggles with insecurity and pride, which leads him down a dark path. Must convey internal struggle and stoic love.

Kale’s best friend and occasional moral wildcard. Rickie is loyal in his own twisted way and provides a voice of street pragmatism—encouraging Kale’s worst instincts while showing surprising flashes of wisdom and insight. He’s chaotic but necessary, adding humor and tension relief to the story.

A successful, smooth-talking entrepreneur who hides predatory intentions behind a polished facade. Troy uses money and power to control women and situations to his advantage. He is the film’s main antagonist—charismatic and persuasive, but increasingly dangerous as he loses control of Johanna. Must balance seduction and menace believably.
